The Spark | High School Foundations

My marketing journey began with curiosity. In high school, creative projects drew me into understanding how brands communicate and why certain ideas resonate. I spent time analysing campaigns, building brand concepts from the ground up, and presenting case studies that blended strategy with storytelling. Alongside this, serving as my school’s Cultural Secretary introduced me to leadership organising events, coordinating teams, and discovering how powerful collaboration can be when people work toward a shared vision.

Moving to London to pursue a Digital Marketing degree at Middlesex University marked a turning point. Working in diverse, cross-cultural teams enhanced my adaptability and communication, while constant presentations and research projects strengthened my strategic thinking. A week-long industry immersion in Manchester, where we analysed ten organisations and delivered an overnight strategic review, pushed my problem-solving skills to a new level. I explored the full digital ecosystem from AI-driven campaign planning and budgeting to podcast scripting, short-form video production, and brand analysis using tools like SEMrush, HubSpot, and Google Analytics.

At Crescent University, creativity and management came together in practice. While studying commerce fundamentals, I joined the Media Club and Dance Club, which became my real-world learning spaces. Over three years, I scripted, filmed, edited content, managed official social media pages, and organised events involving 25+ universities. By my final year, stepping into the role of Managing Director of the Dance Club strengthened my ability to lead teams, manage fast-paced operations, and balance creative execution with logistics. An accounting assistant internship further sharpened my understanding of organisational structure, workflows, and how business functions behind the scenes.

Everything came together during my internship at Pedro Youth Club, where strategy met execution. I developed campaign content, created video assets, refined brand messaging, and built structured posting schedules grounded in data and audience insight. This experience solidified my approach to marketing thoughtful, adaptable, and focused on creating work that genuinely connects people, ideas, and purpose.

Projects that don’t just pressure you but invite you to create. That’s what my work has always felt like as a marketer and honestly, that’s the best part of it. Bringing together people with different ideas, backgrounds, and energies has a way of shaping something that isn’t perfect, but beautifully kaleidoscopic. A layered, colourful, and full of perspectives you can’t create alone.
